A Call to Creative Coalition!
The mural starts at the corner of the building, at the center. Two hands shape a bowl from a lump of clay. The clay represents where we come from. Our life is an art in itself. As the pottery wheel turns, nature springs forth in the form of native flowers and plants. Little bees and butterflies fly outward from the center, representing the different artists of past, present and future to visit and find home in Marshalltown.
Different hands get to work creating a world of balance. The textures and creative mediums are inspired by craftsmanship of the local artists within the Arts and Culture Alliance.
