The Bold Italic

The Bold Italic is an online magazine that celebrates the character and free-wheeling spirit of San Francisco and the Bay Area. It was founded in 2009 and shuttered temporarily in 2015.

Then Editor-in-Chief Keith Spencer led the restart of TBI and brought me on board as a freelance artist. Below are some of the Bay Area’s wonderful writers and their words, and the artwork I made as a brand new illustrator just figuring out literally all the things.
